Fem indiska poliser dödades på torsdagen i delstaten Jharkhand. Poliserna hade vaktat det pågående parlamentsvalet när de dödades av en landmina som utlöstes av maoistrebeller - som uppmanat till en bojkott av valet. Dessutom dödades en valarbetare i Kashmir i samband med att upprorsmän attackerat fordonet han färdades i.

Gundotra made the announcement, appropriately enough, in a lengthy Google Plus post, praising his co-workers and saying that he is 'excited about what's next.' However, he did not further outline his future plans, saying that 'this isn't the day to talk about that.'"

Två av de fem män som suttit anhållna efter det att två män dödats i Norrköping i måndags har släppts. Först släpptes en 20-årig man, vars far och farbror dödades. Senare på kvällen släpptes även en 27-årig man, en av fyra bröder som suttit anhållna.
